While I’m pleased to report today was a much better day than yesterday, it was also a much busier day and as a result it’s 10:44pm and I’m just now sitting down at my computer to write. My eyes are straining against the glare of my computer screen and my back is aching from holding our sweet baby all day. Mama needs to lay down and rest these weary bones!
I had some initial ideas for a post bouncing around in my head but those are going to have to wait for another day and time. Perhaps when I have more energy and brain power, like first thing in the morning for example.
Nevertheless, I still have to share something as part of my daily writing so I thought I would share a poem I recently discovered in a book I finished not too long ago. You may remember me talking about the book “Think Like a Horse: Lessons in Life, Leadership and Empathy from an Unconventional Cowboy.” It was such an impactful and powerful read so it should come as no surprise that I would discover such an impactful and powerful poem in said book. I’m pretty sure it was in the prologue or introduction. Right off the bat, the book got off to a strong, promising start.
It’s what’s referred to as a “cowboy poem” by Edgar Albert Guest. Here is “Sermons We See”…
That my friends is all I have the brain power for today. It took me approximately 6 minutes to write and for that I am grateful. It may be a short and quick post but I think you’ll find it packs a powerful punch. There’s a reason I have “Sermons We See” saved in my phone!
